Flood Bay
-
A large and shallow bay with pebble beaches and direct park-and-play access right from the parking lot.
This our favorite surf spot along the shore for predicable conditions and long rides.

Beaver Bay / river mouth
-
This spot can offer a two for one deal. When the river is full and swell pushing into the bay, we can expect to find tiderace-like conditions in the river mouth and a surf zone in the surrounding area near the beach.
There’s also a few spots along the shore just south of the river mouth that offer some rock gardening opportunities.

Palisade Head

This is a breath taking stretch of shoreline. Sheer cliffs dotted with caves and rock gardens along the way to some large sea stack caves, arches, and slot.

Baptism River Mouth
-
In the same area as Palisade Head, this river mouth and water shed can deliver some epic tiderace-style paddling with wave trains and strong eddy lines.
When the river level is high enough, this gorge creates some exciting currents and small rapids in the river reachable from the lake.

Temperance River Mouth
-
Located right on the shores of the Temperance State Park Campground, this river mouth is the most northern venue for the weekend.
When the river is up from rainy summer and fall seasons there can be swift current that reaches far out in to the lake. This creates great eddies on both side of the mouth and an expansive surf zone “lake race”.
